The Devil Wears Prada opened for Killswitch Engage the other night at a packed Showbox SODO. Both put on amazing shows and were extremely entertaining to watch. “Extremely entertaining to watch” usually translates directly in to “Extremely difficult to photograph”. And they were – but I managed to pull off a few shots of both bands and the crazy kids in the crowd.
In case you’re reading this and are familiar with Killswitch Engage, you might wonder who the short white guy in the baseball cap is. Apparently, the band has had some kind of dispute or falling out and the original singer, Howard Jones recently left the tour. Phil LaBonte of All That Remains is who you see in these photos. He’s filling in for now and doing a fine job of it. The crowd loved him and he appeared to be having a great time on stage with the rest of the band. PHILswitch Engage lives on. Highlight of the show: Killswitch doing a cover of Ronnie James Dio’s “Holy Diver”. Awesome.
